Conversion Sail to Power
The duration of the preparation is 4 days, followed by a 1 to 2-day exam depending on the number of candidates. The 4-day will allow candidates to tweak their knowledge and ability and fill in any gaps or improve any weaknesses.
RYA Yachtmaster Offshore Conversion from Sail to Motor
This course is designed for holders of the RYA Yachtmaster Coastal or Yachtmaster Offshore Sail Certificate of Competence who wish to gain their RYA Yachtmaster Motor qualification.
As an experienced Yachtmaster sailor, you’ll already have demonstrated the majority of the knowledge and seamanship required for the qualification. To convert to Yachtmaster Motor, you’ll need to have completed 1,250 nautical miles on a motor vessel, rather than the 2,500 miles normally required for a direct Yachtmaster Motor examination.
The course consists of four days of practical preparation and skills development, followed by a two-day Yachtmaster Motor examination. During the preparation phase, we’ll focus on the key motor vessel handling and manoeuvring skills required to ensure you’re fully prepared for the exam.

Previous Experience Required
